A 23-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday in reference to a three-year-old case of kidnap and rape, the police mentioned.
For the final three years, the accused and the woman had been dwelling collectively after marriage, senior police official Yogesh Yadav mentioned, including they’ve two kids.
The man, a resident of Mau district, was arrested from Ibrahimpatti Nahar crossing on Wednesday following a tip-off.
On June 26, 2018, a case was registered at Bheempura police station towards him below numerous sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for kidnap and rape of the 15-year-old woman on the grievance of her father.
In the course of investigation, police hooked up his property and introduced a money reward of Rs 25,000 for data resulting in his arrest.
